Delsea rolls past Ocean City in 54-36 win

The Delsea Regional High School football team took the first step on its road to redemption Friday night. The fourth-seeded Crusaders rolled past No. 5 Ocean City, 54-36, in the opening round of the NJSIAA Group III South playoffs at John A. Oberg Field. Delsea will face top-seeded Timber Creek on the road in the semifinals, which will provide a chance for the Crusaders to avenge an opening-week loss.

Delsea football wins a wild one, 56-34 over Ocean City in SJ, 3 opener

Aidan Borguet came up with a great way to stay warm on a very chilly Friday night: Run up and down a football field. The stout 5-10, 195-pound Delsea junior tailback was nearly unstoppable, pounding and turning through the Ocean City defense for three touchdowns and 237 yards rushing.

Borguet's 205 yards, five TDs plus strong defense lead Delsea football past Woodrow Wilson

As a junior linebacker on the Delsea football team, Keison Fowler’s responsibilities usually do not entail dropping into coverage for most of the game. But with Woodrow Wilson’s high-powered passing attack paying a visit on Friday night, Fowler knew his role would have to change – and he responded with one of the biggest games of his career.

Aidan Borguet runs wild in second half as Delsea football defeats Kingsway

Timber Creek edges Delsea as last-second field goal hits post

Offensive line hopes to put No. 14 Delsea back on top

In many places, a trip to the sectional championship game would mark success. Franklin Township isn’t most places. Not when it comes to football. The measure of a team at Delsea High School is established by title wins.

Training camp 101: Delsea

The Crusaders are coming off a “down year” by their lofty standards, even though they made the S.J. Group 3 title game. But the team finished 7-5 and dropped that championship game to Wall by a 20-7 score at Rowan University. That loss snapped a remarkable streak of four consecutive sectional titles, the most in South Jersey history by a program above the Group 1 level. This year’s team is angling to return to Rowan and bring the trophy back to Franklinville but a lot will depend on the development of several talented but inexperienced sophomores and juniors.
